Worm Gear Hose Clamps
Collars and Couplings also carry Worm Gear Hoses. Interlocked worm gear hose clamps are used to secure many types of hoses, including pneumatic and exhaust hoses. These fully stainless steel hose clamps are the most commonly used for securing firm plastic or rubber hoses and tubes.
- We offer the Stainless Steel Body with a Zinc Plated Screw or a Stainless Steel Screw.
- Sizes for both options range in size from 1/4-5/8 with a 5/16 band width all the way to 6 1/8 to 7 with a 1/2 band width.
- Hose packages are shipped in quantities of 2 to 10 depending on the range and band width requested.

Chrome Steel Balls
Collars and Couplings have expanded its product lines by adding 30 sizes of chrome steel balls to its catalog.
According to General Manager, Carol Plourde, the chrome balls are Grade 25 and through-hardened to Rc 60-67. They are made from 52100 alloy steel.
Plourde noted that the ball grade is often used for agitators in aerosol cans and in the construction of drawer slides and check valves.
She explained that the 30 sizes, ranging from 1/16″ to 1 5/16″ diameter, are available in Mini and Maxi packs.
“As our customers have come to expect, we ship in-stock sizes the same day when they order by 3 p.m. ET, we blind drop ship at no extra charge, and we don’t require a minimum purchase,” she continued.
“And although we stock Grade 25, we can get other grades,” concluded Plourde.

New blind drop shipping service is risk free
Listening to PT, fastener and industrial suppliers who need to eliminate inventory and extra work, Collars and Couplings has launched a new blind drop shipping service.
Called No-Risk Drop Ship, it works this way:
- Distributors call us with orders from their end users
- We ship directly to their end users
- The End users think the orders come from our distributors because the packing slips and labels are imprinted with their name, not ours
“Our distributors are happy because they’re not stocking, handling, or shipping a thing,” according to Collars and Couplings V.P. of Sales, John Kraus.
“End users are happy because we average 99.7% accuracy and 95% on-time, completion rates. Furthermore, when we receive orders by 3 p.m. ET, we drop ship the same day.”
Kraus says that Collars is currently drop shipping 31% of all orders it receives. “It works because our distributors know that we never take orders direct, that we hide our identity as the shipper, and that we perform almost flawlessly,” says Kraus.
We guarantee outstanding services like no minimums, same-day shipping, quick turnaround on custom quoted parts, callbacks when promised, and 100% customer satisfaction.
