All coupling prices, except for one metric size, have stayed the same, along with most standard single and double split collars. Only 172 items, or 15 percent of the 1,133 we stock, will go up effective November 1.
We’ve been able to hold down 85 percent of our prices by taking several steps over the last six months. First, we adopted sophisticated forecasting software to reduce inventory costs. Next, since more wholesalers began using our simple online ordering system, we didn’t have to hire additional order entry staff. Finally, we stepped up our lean quality initiatives, such as kaizens, to help cut waste and improve work processes.

We know wholesalers are under the gun to increase sales and control costs. Prices like these will help them sell more, which also means higher commissions for their sales people.
If you’re a wholesaler who’s seeing big price hikes from your suppliers, you can do better by giving Collars and Couplings a try.
