Easier ordering for authorized distributors
Collars and Couplings announces a new electronic ordering system that allows its distributors to look up inventory in real time, send purchase orders, and accept billing directly from and to their in-house computer systems.
"Using XML protocol and common Internet standards, we speed up inquiries and ordering processing," notes Collars President Dan Whalen. "By entering an order once into their systems, power transmission, fastener and industrial supply distributors
simultaneously generate a purchase order to us and set up the payable for themselves. Or they can simply check stock without phoning. It’s simpler and quicker," he says.
For customers who don't have XML capabilities, Collars also accepts orders and payments via EDI, says Whalen.
